Room Layouts & Dimensions

Audio Visual Equipment

All conference rooms within the Convention Centre are fitted with built-in-front projection consisting of LCD & Screen. Each room has self – controlled lighting devices as well as black out facilities. Your room hire charge includes the use of any of the equipment built into your room. Should you require additional equipment please advise your Event Manager, who will order the equipment in advance for you. Alternatively we may put you in touch directly with an audio visual company.
Any equipment brought into the room will be charged at an additional cost.

Availability of High Speed Internet access.

All rooms within the Convention Centre are equipped with Wi-Fi Internet Access.

All bedrooms are equipped with broadband high speed access and internet access via the television set.

It is important to note that all conference delegates should ensure that their equipment is configured to connect to the internet and that they should, at all times, bring any equipment that is specific to their own laptop eg: power supply. Laptops and computers will need a working Ethernet card (NIC) for a wired connection and a wireless card to connect to the wireless network.

A Firewall is in place however, please note that the hotel will not take responsibility for any virus or spyware that may be transmitted through the connection.

Technical support on A.V. Equipment

All Convention Centre floor staff and management have undergone training on the basic operation and usage of all our built-in equipment. Prior to your meeting all equipment will be checked thoroughly to ensure that it is fully operational. Any problems will be addressed before your meeting commences. However we must stress that a client requiring high level amounts of technical support is strongly advised to hire an outside technical support advisor who can remain on site with them throughout the course of their event.

Please be advised that the responsibility for the smooth running of all A.V. Equipment hired from an outside company, lies with the company.

Billing

A number of options are available to you –

All costs can be broken individually ie: by room hire, accommodation, dinner, tea/coffee refreshments etc.

Alternatively you can choose to opt for a ‘Day Delegate’ rate or a ‘24 Hour Delegate’ rate. A ‘Day Delegate’ rate is applicable to a group of 15 delegates or more and provides you with morning & afternoon Tea/Coffee refreshments, lunch, meeting room hire, fruit basket and stationary tool box within your room. The costs are spread over the number of delegates in attendance and a price per delegate is given.
A’24 hour Delegate’ rate works in the same manner and also includes dinner, overnight accommodation and Full Irish breakfast.

Pre – Conference Meetings

Throughout the booking of your event you will liaise with one point of contact at Lyrath Estate. This will ensure continuity of service for you and the assurance that all details are being recorded and implemented in the correct manner for the benefit of all.

For the larger event, we strongly urge that a meeting is held at the hotel one week prior to the event taking place. We would kindly ask that all key players to the event are in attendance. Also present will be our representative whom you have been liaising with throughout. At this meeting a passover will be done between our conference Co – Ordinator and the Operational Team who will be looking after you on the floor throughout your event. It is very important that your relevant personnel are there to meet with the Lyrath team so that the affiliation can take place prior to the day itself.
